August 2012

There were scads of butterflies around the Sugar Creek area.
One dark colored variety flew and lighted low to the ground and
I did not ever get a good picture of one
- too hard to sneak up on.

Sweet!
Literally

Lots of the white/black type of flutterbye

To the side of my vision I noticed the flight characteristics
of one butterfly change radically! Intrigued, I moved to take a closer look.

it had been a Mid-air snatch!

Well, law of the jungle and all . . .
. . . back to taking pictures.

Look, this butterfly is letting me record lots of pictures!
Even slowly rotating as if posing.

It was not until I had the data in the computer and massaging
the take for the day that I realized that I had been
completely wrong . . .

Keeping those peepers open . . .

Where's Waldo The Grasshopper?

This sucker-fish came in through the open vehicle window,
as I was going at a good clip myself, and collided with my head !

Apparently, he was just stunned.
He was hastily evicted.
